About our Hotel
Jozankei Tsuruga Resort Spa MORI NO UTA refers to the "tales of the forest“ where various wildlife compose their own life stories in the lush forests of Hokkaido. Jozankei Tsuruga Resort Spa MORI NO UTA is committed to conveying these tales to its guests and as such has crafted a unique interior design where guests can marvel at the energy of the forest with each of the five senses. The hotel’s Forest Lounge at the center of the entrance lobby attests to the“ cycle of the forest,” and features a unique tree-shaped cast iron hearth that extends toward the sky, a green carpet that symbolizes the forest floor, and the a curtain with water trickling down strings that represents rain falling in the forest. The Forest Lounge is a shoe-free zone where guests can relax in the audio corner or adjacent bar and take in the seasonal colors that unfold through the lobby windows. The hotel would like guests to feel like they are part of the surrounding forest, which is evident in its fun fairy tale like Forest Restaurant, relaxing guestrooms with warm, inviting interiors and a spa zone filled with all natural aromatic scents. The Ainu people believe that Hokkaido, with its many forests and lakes, is inhabited by countless kamui, or deities, and all of nature is an ikor, or treasure given to us by the Creator. We invite you to join us in the natural oasis of Jozankei in Hokkaido―a place like no other on earth-to discover this ikor and an all new concept in resort accommodations.
